A lifelong fan of emerging technologies, Sameer found his flow in the video game industry working on mobile games from their onset, including titles such as Plants vs. Zombies and Bejewelled. Now Sameer uses his design, development, and management skills while building the best workout product on the market. At FitXR, Sameer loves combining immersive technology and AI to create unique personalised experiences that put the fun into fitness.
Sam draws on his experience from consulting and private equity to drive FitXR forward into the uncharted lands of fit tech. Coming from a family of entrepreneurs, Sam was always enchanted by the prospect of building a company. Meeting Sameer at business school kick-started that dream. A lover of all things fitness, Sam is excited to develop a product that will help people access professional workouts, and build healthier communities around the world.
Emma is a branding expert who specialises in sports and fitness. For the past six years she’s been helping brands to create change with impactful marketing campaigns. As an ex-fitness instructor and snowboard coach, she brings her industry-insider knowledge to the team. Emma is responsible for guiding development of the FitXR brand and building our community, both on and offline. She believes strongly that fitness is for everyone.
Richard is a software-development veteran with 30 years’ experience. Before joining the FitXR team, but after completing his physics degree, Richard ran his own software company for 18 years. It was there he designed an extremely popular email software suite. He’s the founder of game-maker Freekstorm and is responsible for the critically acclaimed indie game Doctor Kvorak’s Obliteration Game, which has been successfully ported to VR.
Zsolt is our lead audio engineer and game developer. He’s been coding games and producing game music since 2003. He started his career with Rockstar Vienna working on Max Payne. After his move to the UK he composed tracks for Trackmania Sunrise and joined Criterion (EA) and Brightlight Studios to work on AAA games such as Burnout Paradise, Need for Speed PSP, and the Harry Potter series.
Yota has been in the video games industry since 1995 product / project managing various games and game technology on various platforms including web, mobile, console and PC. He has worked at start-ups as well as large company such as Electronic Arts. He is an avid gym goer as well as a runner who has completed marathons and an ultra marathons to keep fit and healthy. At FitXR, he is combining two of his passions, fitness and games to create a new and fun fitness experiences for the wellbeing of the digital era.
For over 20 years, Mark has seen the games industry go through many different evolutions and business models. Originally studying Graphic Design, Mark resumed his passion for gaming since his first computer (a Sinclair Spectrum) by working in QA, Level Design and then Game Design. Mark has worked for many big names in the industry, from Batman developer RockSteady, to Sony owned Media Molecule to Activision King. Mark practises a simple life by learning to build, agriculture and long walks in the countryside. Mark believes that technology should be used in a real world beneficial way to enable people to live a healthier life.
